PMB Vib, a gqom group from Sobantu, will launch their second album at Sobantu Swimming Pool on November 30 from 2 pm till late. The album titled Undefeated has 10 songs. The group, comprising four members — Lynndon Johnson, Thabiso Shange, Kwanele Memela and Thabiso Makhathini, told Echo they are very excited about the launch of their album and are confident that people are going to be pleased with it.“Everyone can dance to all our songs on the album, but apart from that all our songs have a message for the youth. “We want to encourage youth to participate in arts instead of living life on the streets and doing nothing,” said Shange, who started the group. He said their group was formed in 2011 while they were still pupils at Sobantu Secondary School. “We used to participate a lot in activities related to art in school, mainly music. I then saw that we have the same passion and I approached them and we formed a group.” He also revealed that they will be shooting a music video of one of the songs titled Talabha.“We want to grow in this music industry and we want to give back to the up-and-coming artists from our own city. “When we started this music journey we had to hustle, no one really noticed us. We do not want that to happen to other talented artists because they will be demotivated.”The entrance fee to the launch is R20 per person. Drinks will be available at the gate but you can bring your own cooler box.For more information, contact 071 832 8789.
