MARITZBURG Hotspurs participated in the opening tournament at Earlington Secondary School in Phoenix, Durban, recently.
Ten teams from around Durban participated and Hotspurs managed to secure second place in the tournament ensuring a podium finish once again.

The team consisted of Mickyle Sampson, Fahim Suleman, Ashwin Maikoo and Bilal Ebrahim, who displayed their amazing Futsal skills on the day and excelled coming runner’s-up in the tournament.

The overall winners were Football Lovers who won 2-1 in the final.

An exceptional day of sport soccer, marking the opening of the new arena as well as trying to keep the youth off the streets and drug free, was definitely the order of the day.
