Hyundai’s upgraded H1 range in SA

HYUNDAI’S H1 bus, panel van, multi-cab receives a mid-cycle make-over complete with enhanced features and style tweaks.

In terms of design, the models gain a new front grille and bumper design, new 16” alloys, redesigned centre console and instrument clusters. The panel van is still equipped with steel rims.

Stanley Anderson, marketing director of Hyundai Automotive South Africa, said: “The H1 has really been given quite an extension of its lifespan with the exterior enhancements and the addition of features on the inside.

“It is a good-looking vehicle that has not really aged since its launch six years ago, and it now has a few extra years that it can compete­ head on with the opposition.”

The Hyundai H1 range benefits from styling tweaks, including 16” alloys shown the on the bus model.


There’s a choice of two engines - a 126kW/224Nm 2.3 litre petrol mated to a five-speed manual and a 125kW/441Nm 2.5 litre turbocharged diesel engine equipped to a five-speed auto.

New features:

Folding-key, Bluetooth, cruise control, auto aircon with climate control, glove box cooling, side airbag, leather steering wheel and gear-knob covers, power, folding side-mirrors, electronic stability programme for turbodiesel derivative, jam protection and auto function for the driver window.


H1 2.5 turbodiesel nine-seat bus (auto) - R579 900

H1 2.4 petrol six-seat bus (manual) - R482 900

H1 2.5 turbodiesel six-seat multi-cab - R492 900

H1 2.5 turbodiesel three-seat panel van - R441 900.

Prices include Hyundai’s five-year/150 000km warranty and roadside assistance, as well as a five-year/90 000km service plan.
