‘It’s time to #GoBlue’

2019-09-04 06:02

PADCA, a non-profit organisation who improves the quality of life of seniors across the whole financial spectrum, will launch their annual awareness initiative #GoBlue.

Designed to draw attention to the needs of seniors in the Pietermaritzburg and Midlands’s community, the #GoBlue campaign will run from September 9 to October 13.

Living agelessly requires each person to remain engaged and active as they grow older.

There are three prongs to #GoBlue: education, awareness and donation.

To educate the community on ageless living, Padca encourages the reading of their interesting and well-researched articles on topics such as healthy eating, the benefits of staying active and the importance of community, available for you to learn about living agelessly at www.padca.co.za/goblue.php.

Download and share them with anyone you think will enjoy them, at home, at school and at the office.

To build awareness, Trevor Clowes, CEO of Padca, asks us all to help “Paint” Pietermaritzburg and the Midlands blue and so draw attention to the challenges facing vulnerable seniors, including those who are frail or living with dementia.

“Wrap the trees, signs, fences and poles in front of your business, school or home in blue or wear blue as part of your outfit to show your support. Then share your photos on our Facebook page (facebook.com/padca) with #GOBLUE and challenge others to do the same.” he said.

To continue with their work of caring for vulnerable seniors in the KZN Midlands, both by homing seniors in their various residences according to their specific needs as well as providing home-based care, Padca is calling for donations. They need the community’s help to improve the quality of life of seniors in our community who are vulnerable, frail and or living with dementia. Your donation improves their lives.

Whether its R20 or R200, you really will help someone in need!
