PIETERMARITZBURG Jazz Festival organisers say in celebration of six years, this year they plan to give their best to make sure that everyone leaves the venue happy and satisfied.

The event will take place on Saturday, August 3, at the Royal Showgrounds.

This was revealed by Nkanyezi Cele from Starlight Promotions last Thursday when they were officially announcing their partnership with Supertech Pietermaritzburg.

Cele said they want to improve this event until it is no longer just an annual event, but a weekly or monthly event. “This year’s event has a lot of radio dominators, meaning people who have their hit songs playing on different radio stations ... people can come see their favourite artists who are making big moves at the moment.

“The main aim for this event is to bring people together and have fun. We promise that we are going to give our people the best treatment as always.

“As Starlight Promotions we promise to continue giving the best every year in this event,” he said.

Thuthukani Mkhize from Supertech Pietermaritzburg said they are very excited to be partners with Starlight for the PMB Jazz Festival.

He said this is the first time that they are partnering for the festival.

“We have observed this event since it started six years ago and it is always a success. People always leave the event happy and excited.

“This is a great initiative and being a part of something like this also helps you as a business person to be put on the map and get some exposure,” he said.

Tickets for the show are already on sale at Computicket for R200 general and R600 VIP tickets.

A variety of premium and gold packages on hospitality tickets are available from R8 000 and R10 000 respectively and those interested can contact Nkanyezi on 082 052 9128 or Njabulo on 073 514 4227.

For all music lovers who will be attending the event it is important to note that cooler boxes are allowed before 6 pm but no bottles.

No braai stands and gazebos allowed. Weapons will be not allowed either. The gates will be opened at 10 am.
