WEMBLEY College in Greytown, Kwa-Zulu-Natal is proud to announce that Kaden Moonsamy in form four achieved the top, Cambridge IGSCE mark in South Africa for Information and Communications Technology.

His teacher Dewald Wolmarans said: “Kaden is one of the brightest ICT students I have ever had the privilege of teaching. He is a dedicated and hardworking student, with a passion for computing and technology. I always knew he was capable of achieving such an amazing mark. I am so proud of him.”

Information and Communications Technology is a Cambridge subject worldwide and regarded as a new “literacy” alongside reading, writing and numeracy. The Information Communication Technology syllabus encourages students to develop lifelong skills and prepare them for future employment. The syllabus combines theoretical and practical studies focusing on the ability to use common software application to solve problems, including word processors, spreadsheets, databases, interactive presentation software, web browsers and website design. Students analyse design implement, test and evaluate ICT systems, ensuring that they are fit for purpose.
