WITH kitchens being the being busiest place in a home, often near the front door, it’s easy to understand how it can become a family dumping ground.

If you describe your kitchen as a cluttered mess rather than a dream culinary workspace, then these kitchen decorating and organising tips are for you.

Start by going through the cupboards - remove anything you don’t use and give it away. It may help to empty a cupboard completely and put back only what you want to keep.

Use clear containers to keep medicines and vitamins organised.

Use storage crates or baskets and turn the empty space above kitchen cupboards into a storage space.

Add some greenery to the kitchen with a potted plant or two.

If you love flowers, consider using realistic faux flowers in the kitchen. In hot, steamy environments, real flowers tend to wilt. - Supplied.
