KWAITO group ABBAdakaz is set to shoot their first music video of their latest single titled Shibilika on September 28.

The song will also be featured in their upcoming EP.

The group members are Ntuthuko “Gray” Ndlovu from Sobantu, Siyabonga “Chacca” Ngcobo and Sphumelelo “Torres” Dladla, who are both from Ashdown.

The music video will be shot in three different places starting from Sobantu PK Jeans store, Invogue Corna in the CBD and Ashdown location.

Ndlovu said as a group they are very excited and nervous about their upcoming project.

He said it has always been their dream to shoot a music video for one of their songs.

He said they started making music together as a group in 2009.

“I am originally from Sobantu but I used to visit Ashdown during school holidays when I was still a child. Siyabonga and Sphumelelo were my neighbours when I was in Ashdown and that is how we became friends.

“Growing up they shared common goals complemented with love and passion for music and dance. This resulted in the formation of the group. [We] loved to dance and listen to music together, we shared common goals,” he said.

Ndlovu said their future plan is to establish a solid record label in Pietermaritzburg to assist and nurture the upcoming young talent by recording and marketing their music.

“Apart from that we also want to grow as a group.

“We want our brand to be recognised not only in Pietermaritzburg, but in the whole country. We also wish to see the music video that we are going to shoot playing on national television,” he said.
