DESPITE the stronger and bigger teams they played against, Hollywoodbets KwaZulu-Natal Inland cricket team obtained 10 points, securing them a spot in the semi-finals which takes place on September 24, at Diamond Oval in Kimberly.
KZN Inland will play against Gauteng at 9.30am on Sunday, and if they triumph, they will play in the finals on Monday September 25.
KZN Inland won the game on Friday against Zimbabwe at Buffalo Park in East London and drew on Saturday, as the match was rained out, and made a comeback after winning the last match against Border on Sunday.
KZN Inland is the only team among the four in the semis that have played in the finals of T20 before. They were the runners-up in 2015.
KZN Inland coach Shane Burger told Maritzburg Fever they are excited to be in the semis and looking forward to it.
“We played against strong teams, especially Zimbabwe, which is not a team you can take lightly, but we managed to win.
“We are ready and prepared for this match and are hoping that we go through to the finals on Monday,” he said.
