Line-up for Midmar festival announced

MUSIC enthusiasts can look forward to an exciting line-up for the ninth uMgungundlovu Midmar Music Festival to be held on 31 December.

The festival, which is a favourite on the KZN events calendar and attracts thousands of festival-goers, takes place at Midmar Dam’s Orient Park in Howick and is always jam packed with well-known artists.

This year, the exciting lineup includes Babes Wodumo, Noma (SA Idols winner), Big Nuz, Afrotraction, Kelly Khumalo and Robbie Malinga, Zandi, Thee Legacy, Sands and many more.

Since its inception, the event turnout has been increasing, with a crowd of about 15 0000 revelers expected annually. The festival usually begins midday on 31 December until the early hours of 1 January.

The festival aims to put emerging local musicians along their well known counterparts. The festival has also created more than 100 direct jobs and over 300 indirect.

Tickets will be sold at ticket pro, Jet, Edgar, Postnet, CNA AND Jet Mart. General access tickets are R100 and R500 for VIP. Gates will open at 10am.
