LOCAL gospel artist Sihle Mncwabe is set to release his third album titled Mayenzeke intando yakho after the Easter holidays.

Mncwabe, from Imbali Unit J started singing at the age of nine, and told Echo that he felt that this is the right time to release this third album.

“After everything that I have gone through in my life, I figured that I need to produce an album where I can thank God for everything that he has done for me, and also give people hope to not give up in life.

“This album has 12 songs and each has a message. Each and every person will have a song that he or she can relate to. I even wrote some of the songs in Sotho because I want to accommodate everyone not just people from KwaZulu-Natal,” he said.

Mncwabe said being a gospel singer has helped him not get involved in social ills. “I am always busy with my music and that helps me to stay away from doing bad ... Music is my life, I breathe, live and eat music. I am very grateful and I feel so blessed that God gave me this talent so that I can worship him with other people through music.

“I also want to thank everyone who has supported me throughout this journey. It was not easy especially when I started. I released my first album and it did not go so well. With God’s help and the support of the people, I never gave up. In 2017 I won the Best Male Gospel Artist at the South African Volunteers Awards (Sava).”

Mncwabe said he will continue to try to change other people’s life for the better through music.
