Local PSL striker on the ‘wanted list’

2017-03-15 06:02

LEADING goal scorer in the National First Division (NFD) and Eastwood resident Sedwyn George has reportedly attracted the interest of PSL giants.

The former Eastwood Secondary School pupil and Royal Eagles player is likely to be lost to Ajax Cape Town, Bidvest Wits, Super Sport United or Kaizer Chiefs. George’s business manager Russel Louise confirmed to Maritzburg Echo last weekend that they had been in contact with them and are trying to lure the striker.

“Yes, it is the truth - there are a handful of PSL teams from around Gauteng and Cape Town showing an interest in George’s services. We are not really surprised because the player has been consistent and on top of his game. We don’t want to rush into things, we will negotiate wisely to make sure it’s a good deal for the player,” said Louise.

It is also believed there is also interest from abroad. George said he is aware of a few teams who are talking to his business manager but he said nothing has been finalised.

“I’m always in touch with my manager and he officially told me about those offers. I am excited but also trying not to get carried away because nothing has been confirmed yet,” said George.
