NGO Making a Difference SA donated 202 pairs of school shoes, stationery and socks to Orient Heights Primary School last Tuesday, August 13, in their bid to make a difference in the lives of children across South Africa.

The NGO is a group of people, mostly located in Gauteng, that have recently picked Pietermaritzburg as a base to distribute over 2 000 pairs of shoes and stationery to pupils.

“We used Orient Heights Primary as one of the bases to launch the distribution of these items,” said co-founder of the NGO, Keshnee Naidoo.

Making a Difference SA distributed the various items from 9 am on Tuesday. Orient Heights Primary principal Peru Govender said that the school was very proud to be associated with the NGO and thanked them for their good gesture.

“We want to thank them for giving our children a new, higher level of dignity,” said Govender.
