THE iconic Imperial Hotel in Pietermaritzburg has reached another milestone in its illustrious history following its acquisition by KwaZulu-Natal property collective, The Misty Blue Group.

Formerly known as The Protea Hotel Imperial, under its new owners the hotel will be known as The AHA Imperial Hotel. Now officially a part of Misty Blue’s impressive portfolio, The AHA Imperial Hotel joins a string of hotels and guest houses along the KwaZulu-Natal North Coast.

The Imperial Hotel brings a new dynamic to Misty Blue’s portfolio by offering a colonial styling which encapsulates a truly unique historical ambience.
Boasting over seven spacious conference rooms, a garden restaurant piazza and many of its original finishings, including a fully functional antique elevator, this prestigious century old hotel is a wonderful addition to the group’s flourishing portfolio.

While the group doesn’t intend to change the hotel’s old world charm, The AHA Imperial Hotel will undergo a soft refurbishment to provide guests with an even better experience.

The AHA Imperial Hotel management and the Misty Blue Group are incredibly excited about this new chapter in the hotel’s history and are looking forward to a bright and prosperous future together. The hotel is currently open and trading as normal. - Supplied.
