NORTHDALE’S multi-talented Denelle Ince received the second princess crown at the face of Miss Signature Cosmetics pageant held on December 7 in Johannesburg.

Ince, who spent a week in Johannesburg with her fellow contestants, secured a spot as one of the top 10 contestants after judges screened the top 40 profiles and picked their top 10.

“I cannot express my heartfelt gratitude to each and every one who has supported my journey from the onset.

“This competition was something I entered at the very last minute and I was so overwhelmed to have been a part of thousands of entries opened to not just South Africa but Botswana and Namibia as well,” said Ince, who added that the she is honoured to have been chosen, and to have been the only representative to have been chosen from KwaZulu-Natal.

“I am more proud to be the first brown girl in seven years to make it to the top three,” she added.

Reflecting on the competition, Ince said it was a bit discouraging to be a contestant not from Gauteng, and to not have crowd support as strong as the contestants who came from the province.

“But, I’m so blessed to have still had family members who fought through the crowd and made themselves heard in supporting me,” said Ince.

In speaking on her love of being on stage, Ince described the feeling as the most amazing feeling ever.

“I become a different person and I love every second of it,” she said.

In talking about her fellow contestants, she said: “I’m so grateful to have met such beautiful souls and I’m pleased to have shared this journey with you all.

She went on to add: “When you do for others what they cannot do for themselves you will never lack God’s favour. It’s important to pay attention to those the world pushes aside.

“I believe that I am that a catalyst for change that I want to see in my country.”

In concluding, Ince said, “Blessings to all my beautiful ladies and to all my supporters.”
