AUTOMOBILE enthusiasts of all ages will converge on Ashburton for Cars in the Park this Sunday.

Hosted at the Gold Circle, Training Centre, Ashburton on May 26, this year’s event boasts something for the whole family, not just for car lovers.

Organiser Carl Habermann promises an array of stunning vehicles, stating that cars including a 1908 Peugeot all the way to the recent McLaren will be on display.

“Many cars, of various shapes, from classics to vintage, veteran, tractors, stationary engines, super cars, and home-built vehicles will be on display.

“It is an amazing day to wander around the park and enjoy many activities and different sights.

“This show is for the whole family, and while dad is viewing the cars, mom will be visiting the almost 40 craft stalls where there is lots to see and buy,” said Habermann.

Catering for the younger audience, the event will host a play area for the children that includes jumping castles, train rides, pony rides and Zorbing balls to roll around in.

Live music will be on offer during the event with a beer garden as well as various food stalls helping to get the mood going with some good music, food and drink. There will also be lucky draws hosted throughout the day.
