IN a brilliant display of batting, wicket keeper Grant Roelofsen guided the KZN Inland cricket team to a win over Nambia after scoring 224 of just 276 balls on Saturday..

KZN Inland beat Nambia in the CSA Sunfoil match by 143 runs after amassing 491 runs for seven wickets in their first innings, thanks to a double century by Roelofsen. Not wanting to be left out of the party, Roelofsen was well supported by team-mates Gareth Dukes, Joel Veeran and Kushen Kishen, who scored 80, 59 and 46 respectively, in what was a well-rounded batting display.

Inland pace bowlers rounded the Namibian batsmen out for 189 runs in the first innings and 159 runs in the second innings, with Ruhan Pretorius the pick of the bowlers with nine wickets over the course of two innings in a fantastic display of bowling.

Graham Hume took a total of three wickets, conceding 42 runs along the way, with Gareth Dukes taking three wickets for 71 runs in the first innings. Hume and off-spinner Kurtlyn Mannikam finished off the Namibian batsmen in the second innings, with Hume taking three wickets for 30 and Mannikam contributing with two wickets for 33 runs to see off Namibia. — Supplied
