PIETERMARITZBURG Agency for Community Social Action (PACSA) will host a film and art festival on September 28 at Umsunduzi Museum. This will also form part of PACSA’s 40th anniversary celebration.

PACSA public relations officer Mzomuhle Phakathi said the agency has touched many lives through its social justice work over the past 40 years.

“With the strong activism roles played by social justice legends in history, the impact they left needs to be acknowledged and celebrated,” said Phakathi.

The film and art festival will include poetry, comedy, traditional dance, films, visual art, book reviews and discussions.

The event will run from 9 am to 9 pm. PACSA will also host another event on October 5 at the museum to mark the agency’s 40th anniversary. For this event, Dr Makhosi Khoza will be the guest speaker and a video of people who have been part of PACSA over the 40 years will be shown.
