‘Pay It Forward’ connects us together and values humanity

2017-06-21 06:00

THE roles that each person plays as a mother, father, teacher, friend etc. is important. Have you ever offered good advice or even just a smile to someone, who later shared how meaningful it was to them?

Or perhaps you’ve received assistance, or a word of encouragement that changed the course of your day, or even your life? The act of sharing and passing on help, in whatever ways possible, is a powerful tool of humanity. In this way, leaders and role models have shaped much of our society and personal characters.

Every person and the experiences that they share, can add richness to the lives of others and this is most evident when interacting with people from all walks of life at Msunduzi Hospice. Life-threatening illnesses can affect people in many ways and Msunduzi provides care for its patients and families in a way that values each individual. Quality of life is prioritised for patients and their families; providing holistic care for people with cancer, HIV/Aids and other life-threatening illnesses. Whether it is through services for prevention and relief of suffering of physical ailments, or providing supportive friends, Msunduzi Hospice provides care and dignity that each human being deserves.

The Msunduzi Hospice ‘Pay It Forward’ campaign provides the opportunity to be part of a chain of caring people that support individuals and the broader community. The campaign has prompted people to pledge a wide variety of contributions to the work of Msunduzi Hospice.

Pay it forward for Msunduzi Hospice by challenging three family members, friends, business partners or colleagues to pass on this goodwill and pledge contributions of a similar nature to Msunduzi Hospice. These pledges represent more than a campaign for a good cause; it also encourages a movement, recognising the value of other humans and being part of a community of helping hands. Your support enables our Care.

We’ve all received help from people in our own lives. The ‘Pay It Forward’ Campaign allows us to continually touch vulnerable human lives beyond our own homes and help others live dignified and inspiring lives.
