SIBAHLE Sonke, Peter Pan Special School’s outreach programme, visited ML Sultan Frail Care Centre, a residential home of PMB Mental Health on November 16.

Sibahle Sonke hosted a Christmas party for the residents, which included a gift for each resident and entertainment.

The programme was established in 2011 to acknowledge the strengths of the school’s pupils, regardless of their disability.

It also teaches pupils to give back to the community, making a difference in people’s lives.

Sibahle Sonke relies on sponsorship enabling them to facilitate these outreach programmes each year.

“The generosity of people in the community is highly appreciated and we thank the following people or institutions for their contribution,” said Mrs Ansie Whitby, Peter Pan Special School principal.

“We would like to encourage people within our community to support people with disabilities, be it a child or adult, and include them in community activities.

This will give them a feeling of self-worth and will unleash their potential,” she added.
