LOVERS of classic music and fans of the piano are promised a delightful programme of music for four hands on one piano with Mark Nixon and Christopher Duigan at the Tatham Art Gallery on November 3.

This follows performances by the duo at the Latimer Festival in the Chiltern Hills, England recently.

Recreating some of that magical idyllic beauty, they play Mozart’s Sonata in C major, Debussy’s evocative Petite Suite and music by J.S. Bach and Astor Piazzolla.

Mark Nixon is a graduate of the Amsterdam Conservatory, the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London, the University of Cape Town, and UNISA. From 2000 to 2002 he was the Anthony Saltmarsh Junior Fellow at the Royal College of Music.

He has performed in Holland, France, Greece, China, Italy, the UK, the U.S. and currently holds the position of Head of Keyboard Studies at the prestigious King’s College School in Wimbledon.

Christopher Duigan is a Steinway Artist.

Tickets to the music revival cost R80 and secure parking is available at no charge. Booking is preferred, e-mail booking@musicrevival.co.za or WhatsApp 083 417 4473.
