PIETERMARITZBURG-BORN Brigadier Peter Pillay was recently honoured for his 35 years of service and dedication to the police force. Pillay received recognition during a medal parade held in Bloemfontein, Free State province.

Logan Govender described Pillay as a person who always showed the promise of reaching the upper echelons in the SAPS.

“He was my student in the 80s. He began his illustrious police career at Mountain Rise as a student. He now heads the Strategic Management team in the Free State,” said Govender. He added that their sincere congratulations and best wishes are conveyed to Pillay and his family. — Supplied.
