AFTER winning at the Durban July, Pietermaritzburg designers are confident that they are going to win again in the Dundee July to be held on July 15 at Dundee racecourse.

Catharine and Irene Nolan, twins from Hayfields, said they have been designing clothes for the past five years.

This year was the first time they entered the Durban July to show case their designs.

Speaking to Maritzburg Fever Catharine said they entered three outfits.

“We won most striking couple and one of the ladies outfits was listed in the top 15. It is also our first time entering in the Dundee July.

“We are extremely confident about our outfits. We are competing in four different categories. We believe that we are going to win in more than one category this time. Most people go to these event to get inspired by the fashion,” said Catharine.

She said her twin Irene, inspired her a lot as she has been in the wheelchair all her life but never has a dull spirit.

“She has made me realise that no matter what, one should never give up. Always believe in the good of this world and be grateful for what you have. No matter what the situation you are in, you can still make your dreams a reality.”

Catharine added that she is looking forward to the event as she has also been selected to show case ten of her outfits in the Posh Marquee.

She also mentioned that them winning in the Durban July is such an honour as they have just launched their clothing line and will also dress Mrs Tourism SA 2017 (Ntombifuthi Gumede) and her brother Clive Hadebe in the Dundee July.
