THE Pietermaritzburg Gymnastics Academy had an outstanding competition season for both its senior and junior teams.

A total of 54 of the junior team members were selected to represent KZN at the Central Zone Festival in Pretoria in July and many returned with silver and gold medals in the level 1 to 3 sections.

The club’s senior team are currently in Cape Town representing KZN at the National Gym Games until 8 October.

The senior team comprises of boys competing in the level 4 to 8 section and girls’ level 4 to 6 section. The club expects its gymnasts to pick up several medals in this national competition.

Eight PMB Gymnastics Academy staff were also selected as KZN coaches and technical officials for the KZN team at the Zone Festival and National Gym Games.

As the club heads into the final term of the year gymnasts of all levels are preparing for the 2016 Gym Fest as well as the annual prize giving in December.
