AFRO pop musician Thulani “Afri” Ndlovu, who grew up living between Lynnfield Park and Sobantu, said his first official music video which was recently shot for his single titled Ngiyashada will soon be aired on national television.

Now based in Pretoria, the singer higlighted that after moving from Pietermaritzburg, it was easier for him to find a company to market and distribute his music.

“I also managed to approach a company that helps with radio sampling my music and as a result I have garnered 48 radio interviews,” said Ndlovu. Reflecting on the start of his career, he said will always give thanks to the former Msunduzi mayors, Zanele Hlatshwayo and Themba Njilo, as well as Vusi Mvelase who contributed to his growth as an upcoming artist.

“I started off as DJ 2000 in the year 2007 where Hlatshwayo, Njilo and Mvelase used to book me to perform at their events and rallies.

Since then I have a dropped a full album of 16 tracks titled I Want to Know You,” said Ndlovu. He said he doesn’t doubt that his new single, Ngiyashada, will draw the attention of those preparing for their weddings and all lovers of love.

Ndlovu said: “People must know that it’s not easy to go after your dreams, especially in the music industry.

But if you are supported, it becomes easy to embark on your goals regardless of the challenges. I make sure I come to PMB as often as I can because my children are still living here. I hope to keep growing in the industry so that I can come back, empower and help aspiring musicians in my home town,” said Ndlovu.
