THE show, Pietermaritzburg’s Got Talent is back and registration is on August 26 at St Alphege’s Church hall in Scottsville.

Registration will only be for one day, gates open at 9am.

Veron Moodley, one of the organisers, said there are no auditions, people must register as a solo or group.

Solo registration is R150, group registration with five people or less is R280 and five people or more costs R350.

Moodley said this year the event is going to be different to the ones they’ve had for the past seven years.

“This is the eighth time the event is taking place. In the past the event took place in Northdale and contestants were only allowed to sing, rap or dance. This year we are looking for any kind of talent from all over Pietermaritzburg,” he said.

The overall winner will walk away with R15 000 and a four-day MSC cruise.

Second and third places in both categories will also get prizes.
