“EDUCATION is the most powerful weapon you can use to change the world,” said Christian Life Academy principal Eric Khumalo when he quoted Nelson Mandela to inspire and encourage pupils at the school’s prize giving and Grade R graduation at the school last Friday.

Khumalo encouraged parents to support their children and teach them how to be responsible.

“Most pupils go to school because they know it is their right, but they do not know what are they going to do at school. They do not know that going to school is an opportunity that will allow them to change the world and be leaders one day.

“We need to teach them. They must realise they need to do their school work every day. Parents must not tell their children what to do, they must train them. One day we want to see these pupils in front of an audience teaching, singing, preaching, and so on,” he said.

Khumalo said they will be holding the event every year to encourage pupils to excel.
