Putting children first

2017-02-08 06:01

MSUNDUZI Innovation and Development Institute (Midi) recently held a “Children Leaders as Catalysts for Change” workshop designed and hosted by the Midi Change Ambassadors, a group of 20 young leaders from Msunduzi.

Another 65 children and youth from various schools across the city attended the workshop and learnt from and interacted with other young leaders.

The children took part in various interactive activities including an African drumming session, musical paper bags, dancing, poetry and card games. All were aimed at developing them individually and as a group.

Each child signed their pledge to the city as young leaders and left with a certificate of participation - “I pledge to work hard and groom more leaders and make a positive change. - Supplied
