To get into the South African Radio Awards is really something big that I’ve always wished, which is why I work so hard when it comes to my work. I make sure that I go all out when I am doing my job. “Before I go on air I always make sure that I do research and plan. And because I am also the producer of the shows that I do, I always come up with different features and I present them. I’m forever thinking of new way and ideas to keep my listeners glued to all the shows that I do starting from the music I play to different features I design for each and every show,” she said. She said she never expected to be nominated but she had faith, adding that being nominated for radio awards was one of the things that was on her bucket list for 2020.“It was very hard entering this competition and there were so many radio stations that entered but made it possible for me to be one of the nominees. It has always been my dream to become a radio presenter, however my father wanted me to be an electrical engineer as a result I ended up studying it but my heart was really not there. I have always love radio and if I was given another chance to choose I would still choose radio presenting.”Sibiya said her dream is to grow in the radio industry and work for big radio stations one day. She said it also her dream to have her own radio station one day.
