ACTION Sports KwaZulu-Natal Midlands Pietermaritzburg will host a Cansa Family Fun Day on December 1 at 67 Haworth Road, Shortts Retreat in Pietermaritzburg. According to Nikita Rajkumar, operational manager of Action Sports KZN PMB, the organisation is hosting the family fun day to raise funds for the Cansa Association. Cansa is one of the leading organisations working in the fight against cancer in South Africa. The purpose of the association is to offer a unique, integrated service to the public and to all people affected by cancer.

Rajkumar said anyone is welcome to attend the event, stating that not only is it a fun-filled day, but it’s also for a good cause as all of the proceeds will go to Cansa. Sports such as netball, soccer and cricket will be played on the day.

“This is the first time that we are hosting an event of this nature and hopefully it won’t be our last,” said Rajkumar. Prices range from R700 per team of six, R150 per adult, R75 for children 12-year-olds and under. Lunch is included in the entrance fee,” said Rajkumar. For more information on the Cansa Family Fun Day, contact Rajkumar at 072 167 7266 or Heidi Jansen at 083 227 1575. Alternatively, e-mail hjansen@cansa.org.za for more information.
