“TO reflect or pick out highlights from 2018 is a very difficult task as everything we do, big or small, is a highlight. We like to see everything we do, even our small gains, as enormous steps towards tackling life,” said Irene Olivier of Irene’s Models.

The modelling agency celebrated their graduation last week.

Olivier said that this year was an excellent year both for her models, and on a personal level.

“We got to work with amazing new, young designers. Our models were selected for television advertising. We also choreographed many events, such as the bridal shows and designing school’s graduation,” said Olivier, just a few of their achievements.

Olivier said her agency was more than just a modelling school, and that her goal for everyone was to bring about confidence in a person through modelling, grooming, and self confidence courses.

“Seeing a quiet, introvert-type child who oozes confidence after joining us is so precious and most rewarding due to the fact that it is because of our commitment to improve each students’ outlook on life,” said Olivier.

Tackling every opportunity with passion by giving it her best, Olivier stated that developing and inspiring the youth of KwaZulu-Natal remains Irene’s Models agency’s biggest goal. “We wish we could do so much more for the underprivileged youth, as we have to turn away hundreds of children due to their financial constraints. However, with greater support, or even corporate social responsibility support, we believe that Irene’s Models can impact the lives of so many more young women and men, especially those preparing themselves for their first jobs,” said Olivier.

Olivier reiterated that it was difficult to pin down one exact highlight but that is only because they have had such huge success in their students’ lives.
