A REWARD of up to a R100 000 has been put up for information that would lead to the arrest of those behind the shooting of a mother of three, Nokuthula Olga Zuma.

Zuma was gunned down at the gate of her home on December 14, 2017.

The reward is being offered by an individual who wishes to remain anonymous.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the investigating officer Sergeant Zondi on 079 119 1988.

Plessislaer SAPS spokesperson Captain Musa Ntombela confirmed that the police are aware of the reward, but said no arrests have been made thus far.

Zuma’s partner, Nathi Zitha also confirmed he is aware of the reward.

Speaking to Echo on Tuesday, January 9, he said the investigating officer would meet with the family with an update on leads being followed by the police.

“The children and the rest of the family are coping,” Zitha said.

“At the moment we are preparing for the children to go back to school next week,” he added.

Zuma’s sister Nobuhle told Echo on the morning of her murder that although Nokuthula had not spoken about a threat to her life before the shooting, she [Nokuthula] had been attacked in March 2017, her vehicle was riddled with 11 bullets and she was wounded by four bullets.

Nobuhle said the March attack, which also took place outside their home’s gate, was reported to the police, however, police investigations yielded no results.

She said on the morning of Nokuthula’s murder a neighbour had seen an armed man run across their yard to a nearby sports field where he was picked up by a white Avanza, which it is believed, had earlier dropped off the suspect.

Unfortunately, the neighbour did not get the number plate of the vehicle.

Nokuthula was laid to rest on December 20, 2017.

At her funeral the operations manager at the security company where she worked as a controller for 15 years, Denzil Naidoo, described Zuma as a brave, strong, independent and awesome woman. “Olga’s pride and joy were her children and her home. Olga always found time to share the exciting moments about her children every day. She was proud of the smallest achievements as a mother,” he said.
