THE Community Chests of Durban and Pietermaritzburg are proud to be one of the six official charities supported by the Comrades Marathon Association (CMA).

Over and above benefitting from the donations made by runners when entering the race, runners can also elect to run in the Race4Charity under the Community Chest banner as Community Chest Superheroes.

Our Superheroes each raised a minimum of R6 000 in support of 6 000 children attending Early Childhood Development (ECD) learning centres.

In appreciation of the support given by CMA to Community Chest, we assisted by hosting a refreshment station on race day.

Runners enjoyed the fun and welcoming spirits of over 80 volunteers as they made their way through to refreshment station #43 (located on Fairfield Avenue, Scottsville).

If you are interested in volunteering through the Community Chest, contact Angie Narayanan at 033 394 1031 or chestpro@communitychest.org.za for more information.
