THE digital banking revolution is here and the new Pay2 banking app is bringing peace-of-mind, safe and cheaper instant banking to all South Africans.

Endorsed by Interpol as a crime-prevention tool as it is impossible to suffer identity theft when using Pay2, it is the safest banking app to hit South Africa and has been welcomed by the government, financial officials and celebrities such as Luthuli Dlamini and others.

The digital banking app was developed over a four-year period and recently launched by South African entrepreneur and businessperson Henry McCarter. Pay2 is set to take on international brands such as PayPal and Pay Fast, which have been reigning in the digital banking sphere around the world.

SA’s fastest and most secure, on-the- spot instant mobile payment system allows you to pay or get paid instantly with no need to exchange banking details.

McCarter said: “This is a South African initiative to bring safer, cheaper and secure banking to all. This app is here to save money and at the same time bring down fraud statistics in the country.”

The app was also developed to cater for the unbanked community. Only a fee of R7 is required to pay anyone, even if it is a 1 million rand. “We at Pay2 want to accommodate every South African in this new digital banking wave, so the app was created with the poor in mind. Whether you have a smartphone or not, you can use it to its full ability, by smsing Pay2 to 47470,” he said.

McCarter said the app is revolutionary and will transform SA banking. With the Pay2 app, you carry your money on your phone and it is easily accessible to you only.

When asked about the safety of using the app, he said: “With Pay2, none of your information is stored on your phone or your sim card, but rather on secure banking servers, so if you lose your mobile phone you have no need to be concerned as no one can access your Pay2 cellular phone account, simply take care of your login pin.’’’

“What do you do when you go to a bank? Pay2 has associated itself with FNB and Nedbank. All you need is your pin to access your cash at an ATM. “We are moving into a cashless and cardless age, which is far safer.”
