SELECTED Prestbury officers were awarded for the commendable work performed by them in their successful bid to retrieve a local magistrate’s child after the child was kidnapped back in 2016.

uMgungundlovu South Cluster Commander Major General Phumelele Makoba was on hand to thank and praise the members of the SAPS for their commitment to the job and going the extra mile.

“Thank you for all the hard work you do and the dedication you display to your jobs.

It is not every day that we are thanked because this is a thankless job,” said Makoba.

The officers were presented with merit certificates for the services they rendered.
