A REUNION of former school teachers and students of Woodlands High School took place at the Woodlander Hall in Allandale Drive on Saturday.

Teachers and former pupils of the school from afar field as Johannesburg and Durban attended with two professors and a doctor of education being among those in attendence.

The highlight of the reunion was the guest of honour, who was none other than mathematics wiz Siva Naidoo, now a resident of Auckland, New Zealand.

The reunion was well attended with teachers and pupils kindling and rekindling relationships after many years.

The event began with a meet-and-greet, which took place with much laughter and tears of joy being shared among the guests.

Naidoo gave a donation and presented a floating shield to the deputy Principal of his former school, Sunderasen Naidoo.

The shield is to be awarded annually to a junior student who has excelled much over the year under trying circumstances.

The award includes school fees, uniforms and a scientific calculator.

The shield is in loving memory of Naidoo’s dear wife, Kay, the person behind her successful husband.

The birthday of Deena Pillay and Siva Naidoo were also celebrated.
