MS Modelling Agency will be hosting its second annual Model with Purpose event that takes place on May 4.

This pageant is aimed at giving models an opportunity to showcase their modelling talents and also boost their modelling portfolio.

CEO of MS Modelling Agency Mfundo Sibisi said this pageant will have two categories — a slim models category and a plus size models category.

“In the slim models category we will accept only 30 models and 10 models in the plus size models category. All the models that will enter the competition will attend a workshop in March. The workshop will grow them as they will be taught life skills, model techniques and self behaviour. They will also get an opportunity to do a free photo shoot before the event.

“We urge all the models to come out in numbers because this is their chance to shine and it is first come first served basis. We are not looking for experienced models because our aim is to groom them and give them the experience that they have never had before. We are looking for models from all over KwaZulu-Natal, not only from Pietermaritzburg,” he said.

The top three winners for this pageant will get prizes and they will also win an all expenses paid trip to the Vodacom Durban July.

The trip includes accommodation, transport, photo shoot and Vodacom Durban July tickets.

First place will win R2 000, second place R 700 and third place will win R 500.

The entry fee for models is R100 and they can register by visiting MS Modelling Agency offices on 198 Loop Street.
