IN light of the growing numbers of confirmed cases and the new restrictions put in place, Reach For A Dream foundation has taken the decision to postpone Slipper Day 2020 to a later date.Slipper Day is a national fundraiser held by Reach For A Dream, in which people purchase wristbands and get to wear slippers for the day. Before being postponed, Slipper Day this year was going to be on May 8. The organisation has assured the public by promising to communicate the new date for Slipper Day once the lockdown is lifted at the end of April.Furthermore, the foundation said once they has a better understanding of the way forward from the president, there will be information sent to the public. The Reach For A Dream team is in full operation remotely, so people may have questions are advised to get in touch.The public can still shop slippers and wristbands online through the Reach For A Dream website.The foundation mentioned that all orders will be processed and shipped as soon as it is safe to do so (once the lockdown has lifted). Also, the foundation is reliant on donations and funding more than ever before. People are encouraged to consider donating to Reach For A Dream during this period so they can ensure their foundation continues operating and is sustainable once the pandemic has lifted.
