MAYORS Walk SPAR officially opened its added extras this week, which include a new Bean Tree Express coffee shop and a Chikka Chicken takeaway.

The store has been revamped significantly over the last year in order to ensure that the look of the store is attractive to customers and meets all their needs.

Bean Tree coffee shop is already at a few other SPAR’s in the city, with Chikka Chicken being the first takeaway extra at Mayor Walk.

Customers will be able to order their meals from the takeaway counter while they shop.

“We tried to make the store as comfortable for the public as possible.

“There have been continuous changes and improvements made over the last year. Our focus for next year will be on our staff.

“We want to ensure that they remain committed and dedicated to their work and that we uplift and train them in any aspect that they need,” said store owner, Iain Knox.

At the opening was one of the stores most loyal and oldest customers, Rae du Plessis.

“It’s a wonderful shopping experience that we get here. So many people have only good things to say about the store now. Everything is always good. Thank you Iain and staff,” she said.
