HEEDING the call to address social challenges facing the community, Honchos Flame Grilled Chicken and Chips recently partnered with the Mountain Rise Astro Football League to develop underprivileged football clubs in and around the Northern areas.

The aim of the programme is to identify clubs currently providing training to underprivileged children but who may be unable to participate in a formal football league due to the high financial costs associated with the provision of kits, player registrations, match fees, and transport.

The sponsorship currently covers all costs for five underprivileged teams playing in the league for the U13 and U15 divisions.

The aim of the programme is to have eight underprivileged teams playing in the league in the upcoming 2020 season.

“Honchos values this opportunity to make a difference in the lives of the youth within our underprivileged communities and sees this programme as a stepping stone to the launch of successful football careers,” said Mohamed Patel on behalf of Honchos.

Clubs interested in being included in this programme for the 2020 season are welcome to contact the co-ordinator at 082 786 1486.
