AFTER beating Pinetown Cricket Club at the Oval on Sunday, Standard Cricket Club (Standard CC), under the KZN Inland Cricket Club, will represent KwaZulu-Natal at the CSA T20
Community Cup in Pretoria from December 8 to 10.

Standard CC, which won the KwaZulu-Natal Franchise Regional T20 Cup finals, will leave Pietermaritzburg on December 7 to prepare for their games.

Inland amateur manager Jason Sathiaseelan said although they are happy the team won, they are worried that Standard CC are playing on the same weekend as their senior team, KZN Inland Cricket.

“We are excited they will be representing us at the national cup.

“We have a really good team of youngsters, but we think this tournament is happening at the wrong time.

“We hope they will represent us well at national level just like they did with the regional cup,” he said.
