Maritzburg Hotspurs and Young Natalians toured Cape Town successfully over the weekend winning both their matches in convincing fashion.

Hotspurs began their campaign on
Friday scoring two goals in the first four minutes against Western Province Eagles winning the match with an emphatic score-line of 5-1.

Goals for Western Province Eagles were scored by Dylan Atson while Nhlakanipho Magcaba (2), Curtis Dos Santos (2) and Royce Billings scored for the visitors.

Natalians also played on Friday in a thrilling encounter which could have gone either way with the score-line reflecting that as Natalians narrowly edged out the Cape Town Titans 6-5. It was a very tense game, with end-to-end action in the 11 goal affair. Goals for Cape Town Titans were scored by James Beziek (2), Charlton Stevens, Ashley Sass and Gresham Stephens while Simphiwe Mgedezi, Tsepo Liphuko (3), Quincy Ngcobo and Roberto Slater scored for the visitors. The last games were played on Saturday with Hotspurs outclassing their opponents and maintaining a solid backline, scoring three goals and not conceding to end the game 3-0. Goals for Maritzburg Hotspurs were scored by Curtis Dos Santos, Royce Billings and Orlin Powell.

The final game of the tour provided yet another nail-biter with Natalians again edging out the men from the Cape and holding on for a well-deserved 6-5 win over Cape Town Titans. Hatricks from Renaldo Donnelly and Quincy Ngcobo were enough to see the
Pietermaritzburg side maintain a perfect record in Cape Town and ensure that the boys from Pietermaritzburg would be smiling on their way home. Young Natalians sit second with Maritzburg Hotspurs comfortably in third on the overall National Futsal League Season after the weekend’s results.
