THE Child and Family Welfare Society of Pietermaritzburg, the largest child protection organisation in the district, held its fourth fund-raising cupcake sale recently at the Cascades Lifestyle Centre.

The initiative began in 2015, followed by one in 2016 and 2017.

Bakers were hard at work baking and decorating them in a way in which the spirit of Christmas was seen and felt.

The cupcakes were once again a treat for keen purchasers.

Sales generated and cash donations totalled R8 500.

The success of these totals was once again the result of excellent team work.

“Thank you to the Cascades Lifestyle Centre for accommodating the initiative on short notice and to every other sponsor who made the event a success as well as the community who purchased cupcakes,” said Nazeera Vawda, event co-ordinator and Child and Family Welfare Society of Pietermaritzburg Trustee.
