I WISH to express my sincere thanks to the Msunduzi sanitation team, led by foreman, Sipho Nyawose.

On 2 September the sewer outside my house started overflowing at about 5.15 pm. I made a call to the call centre and reported it. About 10 minutes later, Nyawose called me to confirm my address and get directions. Half an hour later, the sanitation team was attending to the problem.

The blockage was cleared quickly and life was back to normal within 40 minutes. It was heartening to receive such efficient service.

The other departments in the municipality can learn from the sanitation team.
