AT least 14 people were injured in a collision between a taxi and a truck on the N3 west near Keyridge, Pietermaritzburg, on Monday.

Shortly after 4.30 pm, paramedics from ER24 and the local EMS arrived on scene where they found the taxi still wedged against the front of the truck.

Several occupants of the taxi were found outside near the vehicle. It is unclear if they were ejected or if they were assisted out of the vehicle after the accident.

One person was found to have serious injuries. His injuries ranged from multiple fractures to lacerations.

The remainder of the occupants were treated for various injuries, ranging from lacerations to soft-tissue injuries. — Supplied.
