Teeing off for indoor cricket

2019-06-19 06:01

HAVING been selected for the South African Masters Ladies Indoor Cricket, locals Pippa Payne and Cherri Cannon, together with the South African Ladies Masters team, will be hosting a golf day to raise funds due to indoor cricket not being considered as a recognised sport.

The South African Ladies Masters team are the current world champions and are keen on retaining their title when they take on the likes of Australia, England, India, Sri Lanka, Wales, New Zealand and Singapore.

“We are the current world champions and intend on retaining the title and keeping the trophy in South Africa where it belongs,” said Payne.

Payne said that any assistance towards raising funds for the tournament would be appreciated, adding that the cost of the tournament comes to a considerable amount of money.

The golf day takes places on July 5 at the Victoria Country Club, with tickets costing R350 per person, and which includes a halfway voucher.
