BONGI Mshengu needs no introduction to our community. He is a well-known businessman in our city.

In 2003, Mshengu established Bhekani Consulting, a company specialising in staffing, training and facilitation.

Imbued with a passion for leadership and community development, he also spent a number of years in government service, as a social worker and a department director.

His passion also led him to share his wealth of knowledge and experience in places as far afield as Namibia and Ethiopia.

The Pietermaritzburg and District Community Chest was privileged to have had Mshengu serve as a council member for over 20 years. During this time, Mshengu also served as the chairperson of council (2002 - 2004).

The Pietermaritzburg and District Community Chest salutes Mshengu for his many years of dedicated service to the Community Chest and wishes him well, with continued success in his current and future ventures.
