Thanks from fund-raising committee

2015-11-18 06:00

TIME seems to have passed so fast, and the 2015 Hilton Food and Wine seems to be almost a distant memory, but casting your mind back to an evening of fun, laughter, close encounters and much merriment, it will quickly become fresh again. During an evening of much festivity we raffled a bar fridge, donated to us by Hilton Quarry Spar, Protea Hotel Hilton breakfast vouchers, a KWV Hamper, an external hard-drive and USBs from Greg Beyrooti at Beycom.

We raised over R40 000 and we will be putting it towards the replacement of the water-piping system in the school. To those who made a large contribution towards our evening, thank you - Quarry Spar, Rodney, Di, Greg, Mark, Alan and team for everything and for the donation of a Alva Gas Braai, Protea Hotel, Heather, Pumla and its team for hosting us so graciously. Knight Security Systems, Gary Preston for the guards who watch our cars for us, Sheridans Tents and Marquees and the most professional and efficient team, CPW Printing, Caryn Porritt for the amazing design of our posters and flyers, to all the vendors who market their items at the event, all the advertising channels, Neville and Margaret Power for their unending support and help to get the event ready, and to all who sponsored prizes towards our raffle.

To the parents, teachers and folk who helped behind the scenes selling tickets, organising rosters, hanging up art, putting out table cloths, general support, etc., thank you.

Again the evening brought with it so many wonderful reviews, and comments, and we are already being asked when the event will be next year, so we look forward to seeing you again in 2016.

Take care and may the year ahead be one filled with happiness, great things and success in all that you do.
