United one point away

2019-05-29 06:01

MARITZBURG United are now just one point away from retaining their spot in the Premier Soccer League after Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila, better known as TTM, held on to a 2-1 lead to beat Royal Eagles in the fourth-round PSL promotion play-offs on Saturday.

The win for TTM means very little in the grand scheme of things for them but top of the three-group table, United now sit pretty with six points from two games and need just one point from their next two encounters to cement their place in the PSL after a tumultuous season which saw them finish 15th.

TTM and Eagles can now only attain six points as they are left with one match to finish their campaign in the play-offs.

The “Team of Choice” will play Royal Eagles at the Chatsworth Stadium today knowing that a point will seal the deal and will then play their last game on Saturday in front of the home crowd at the Harry Gwala Stadium against TTM.
