MARITZBURG United are still looking for the head coach, but won’t rush in making decisions.

This week the Team of Choice’s chairman, Farouk Kadodia, confirmed that his headquarters in Victoria Road received a lot of applications from all over the world.

“I agree we are still looking or are in search of a coach. We received more than just a lot of applications from South Africa, Africa and even overseas.

“All I can say is that for now our management is looking and sieving hard through a lot of CVs, but we will take time and won’t rush in making a decision for our next coach,”said Kadodia.

Kadodia believes the final decision is likely to be taken in the new year.

“We want to give ourselves time and not rush things. We really need to play the game safe this time. I think in the new year, in January, we will be ready to appoint our new head coach,” he said.

United’s chairman also asks the club’s supporters to “take it easy because things will come right”.

“We ask our followers to give us time and understand that we are working around the clock to change the current situation. We agree the team started on a low and negative note, but we will get there and we will hire the best name available in the market.”

The new coach will replace Clive Barker (71) who was fired recently as the management reportedly said he was “too old”.
